What to Expect
You can expect to find a friendly, family atmosphere that will welcome you; a church in which growing in the knowledge of God and helping each other through the speed bumps of life is our practice. We hope the following information will help to answer any initial questions you have.
WHAT ARE WE ABOUT?
We are a church family that hates religion, but we stress a personal relationship with God. Too many churches depict spirituality by how you dress and a certain “set of standards”, but God judges’ spirituality by how much of the Word He can enlighten you with (2 Cor. 2). We keep preaching and teaching in “simple to understand words” and encourage you to ask questions for growth. There are none of us are perfect, neither are we the fourth Person in His Trinity. Come as you are and grow with us and serve our Saviour with us!
WHAT IS THE MORNING SCHEDULE?
9:00-9:25 Sunday school classes for all ages with breakfast included.
9:30-10:45 Worship Services in the auditorium. Children in fourth grade and under are free to join children’s church during the time of preaching to allow them to learn closer with their age level.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
Casual dress is welcome. Come as you are as God looks upon the heart.
AM I EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OFFERING?
No. Our members are responsible for giving and supporting the ministries of HBC. You are our guest and should feel no obligation to give anything and our ushers know this. You are our guest, and we want our service to be a gift to you as your attendance is a gift, blessing, and encouragement to us.
DO YOU HAVE SPECIAL EVENTS?
Yes. Each Sunday school class has periodical outings. The church, as a family, also has regular scheduled activities/outings.
